Revenue: Onyeme Has Performed Exceedingly Well – Aide
It is true that the Executive Chairman, Delta State Internal Revenue Service Sir Monday John Onyeme revamped, redesigned and repackaged the Revenue Service to meet the needs of the Delta State Government.
The Media Aide to the Revenue Service Boss Mr. Wilson Osemele has lauded the achievements and the giants strides recorded by the Revenue Service Boss in terms of IGR generation, expansion of the tax bracket and commitment towards administrative balancing which is geared towards effective service delivery.

“When Onyeme resumed office in his first tenure, the first thing he did was to organize a strategic retreat at Songhai-Amukpe-Sapele to prepare his team for the task ahead, he organized the “Day of Glamour and Civic Responsibility” in Asaba to create greater awareness on citizens’ responsibility to pay tax, in conjunction with the entertainment industry in Asaba and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), thus, strengthening relationship with the growing entertainment industry In Asaba with a view to a greater tax compliance, he has organised series of tax awareness campaign to educate the people on the needs to pay their taxes and today we can boldly say and applaud the strategic drive of the Revenue Service Boss because the results are there and can be described as excellent”

“We are aware how Onyeme brought JTB Final Course training that supposed to be done in Abuja for to the doorsteps of revenue service staff which is first of it’s kind, we are aware of the fresh strategies he has employed to boost the road taxes, Onyeme has indeed performed exceedingly well”
He fumed at the publication made by the Sahara Reporter against the revenue service boss which he described as not only untrue but malicious, mischievous, misleading and championed by those who feel threatened by Monday Onyeme’s political growth and his commitment in generating more revenue for the state.
This reaction is as a result of a publication made by one Mr Iteveh Ekpokpobe on Union Nigeria which he later published on Sahara Reporter claiming that the sum of N107, 740, 000 was missing as contained in part four of the 2019 audit report as a query made by the auditor general. This allegations are false and malicious.
According to Osemele, it may Interest you to know that even the Auditor General is even surprise at the false accusation because the 2019 audit report has been concluded and beside, a query doesn’t mean there is a missing fund, Onyeme’s dossiers are clean and can’t be distracted by false and untrue publication, he has the option of seeking legal redress for the defamatory report”
“That tactics of making false publications to gain financial reward and unnecessary popularity can only work for those who have skeleton in their cupboards, such tactics can’t work for Monday Onyeme because he has nothing to hide, his Operations are open, clear and transparent”
According to Osemele, Onyeme’s return as Revenue Service Boss for second tenure is based on his character of strict accountability, openness and transparency, as well as his uncommon achievements in terms of revenue generation.
Monday Onyeme has recorded tremendous successes and cannot be distracted from his focused leadership and commitment in generating revenue and boosting the tax net.”
